Hey folks, I'm wondering what you all do to prevent your wrists from going numb ? I have a problem with the right wrist going numb during a ride;and losing grip strength afterwards. I can't even turn the key in my frontdoor. It takes a good hour or so for things to get back to normal. It probably happens to a lot of riders and someone has a solution for this.

I can have a similar problem,i leave the right glove a little loose, try to relax my grip a little and use a throttle rocker on longer trips.I was on a bike trip last week and found the bike i rode had a larger diameter grip and my hand didn't bother me so that may help as well

You can purchase "cruise control" for any bike, there are generic type ones that slip onto the bars and allow you to lock your throttle for long riding stretches like highway cruisin'. Wouldn't be great for around town but if you are riding distance and want a chance to rest that hand it may be a good tool. Tobiquer, check with the local shops for one of these, you'll have a bling bling V-Star to show up your brother. I think they range in price from $30 and up and are quite easy to install at home.

| I'm going to check one of those devices out --- heading to the US for a few days so no doubt I'll look up a couple toy stores while there! | |

Your grips play a large part of that also, get some good soft grips. I've seen chrome grips with no padding on them whatsoever - so no shock absorbency. In addition to the cruise control mentioned above, you can also get these things to take the pressure off of your hands: http://www.bikebandit.com/kuryakyn-i...oss?m=2822&t=1 And, as previously mentioned, relax your grip :)

I am trying some flexing exercises. I try ( when i think of it ) to keep my grip from throttling the throttle ( ooppss ). I am looking for a good pair of gloves, my present ones are good, but they are not proper motorcycle gloves.
