Default Synthetic or Regular Oil

Seen a post on here about changing oil, wondering what people are using? Any benefits to synthetic?

I think that the synthetic is designed to last much longer before degrading, holds its viscocity longer and therefore should be better for the bike. Now if your a fanatic that changes your oil every 1000kms, mineral type oil would be much more cost effective.. I always use brand specific oil, it was explained to me that each type of bike has specific needs for the "wet clutch" that they use and that the brand specific stuff is develloped for those clutches specifically... They could have been blowing smoke up my rear, but it sounded good at the time.. lol...

I use synthetic in my bike. Why? I honestly can't give an exact, perfect, be all to end all, explanation. It's personally simply a preference. I look at the RPM, temp, etc my motorcycle sees. It's not severe duty, by any stretch of the imagination, but (as mentioned) synthetic oil is more consistant viscosity wise, more resistance to break down, etc etc.
Here is a little info I grabbed awhile back...
